We are a specialty large group practice (100+ eligible professionals [EPs]) interested in reporting Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) via the Group Practice Reporting Option (GPRO) Web Interface in 2016, is this a practical option for us?

CMS recommends that each potential group practice review all of the measures included within the 2016 GPRO Web Interface, as the group practice will be responsible for reporting on the required number of CMS-selected beneficiaries for each measure. The GPRO Web Interface contains disease-specific, care coordination/patient safety, and preventive care measures. For a complete list, please refer to the 2016 GPRO Web Interface Measures List which is available for download on the GPRO Web Interface web page.

Web Interface reporting is not recommended if:
  • The group practice is billing under a new TIN for part or all of 2015 as these groups may not have adequate claims history to populate the GPRO Web Interface. These group practices should consider reporting via qualified registry, EHR, or CMS-certified survey vendor.
  • The group practice does not bill for evaluation and management services, as beneficiary assignment and sampling into the GPRO Web Interface is based on evaluation and management services.
