FAQ

What is the Enterprise Identity Management (EIDM) system and how does it relate to the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS)?

EIDM is the acronym for CMS' Enterprise Identity Management system, which provides a way for business partners to apply for, obtain approval of, and receive a single user ID for accessing multiple CMS applications. EIDM system functions include identity verification, access management, authorization assistance workflow tools, and identity lifecycle management functions (i.e., password reset, forgotten User ID, etc.).

An EIDM account is required to access PQRS feedback reports. EIDM Quick Reference Guides can be found on the Physician and Other Health Care Professionals Quality Reporting Portal (Portal) at https://qnpapp.qualitynet.org/pqrs/home.html. The QualityNet Help Desk is available to assist eligible professionals with: general EIDM questions; registering/creating an EIDM account; accessing an EIDM account; changing an EIDM account; and approving users into an organization. They are available from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Central Time Monday through Friday at 1-866-288-8912 (TTY 1-877-715-6222) or via e-mail to Qnetsupport@hcqis.org.
